Thank You!

Kick off Orientation
Thank you so much to those of you who came out for our kick off orientation today. It was so wonderful to see all of the new and familiar faces. Here is the link to the prezi that I presented.

Supply List
On our 5th grade supply list, we did not include pencils.  The reason for this is that some classes use wood pencils, and some use mechanical pencils.  Since we are now in 5th grade, I have decided to use mechanical pencils with our students.  Wood pencil will still be used if students have already bought them.  However, each child will receive 1 mechanical pencil from me, and we will need lead to fill them up.  Please bring mechanical pencil lead on Monday.

Wish List
Check out our class wish list! I have made it using amazon, and the items will ship straight to Teasley.  However, you do not have to buy the items on amazon, if you find them for a better price somewhere else, you can always buy them there, and bring them in. Click on this link to see it! https://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/wishlist/2E2PFKTZAI9DI

I appreciate any and all donations of school supplies, so THANK YOU! in advance ☺

Welcome Back!

Welcome Back Students and Parents!  I hope you had a fun, and relaxing summer. I am so excited for this new adventure as a 5th grade teacher, and could not imagine a more spectacular class to share it with.  My blog has changed slightly to meet the needs of our fifth grade students as they prepare for middle school, but I have not deleted my blog from last year.  On the Pages section of this blog (located on the right hand side of this post) you will find a 4th Grade Blog and Resources tab.  Please click this, if you would like access to any of that information.

Over the next few weeks, there are a few dates that you need to be aware of, they are listed below.

Thursday, July 27 - Kick-off orientation
(5th grade is 5:00-6:15)
This will be a combination of meet and greet, as well as open house.  Although many of your children had me for fourth grade, I encourage you to come to this event.  There are changes to our classroom that will fit the needs of our fifth grade students, and I would love for you to all get this information in one place.

**The first 30 minutes will be a general meet and greet. 5th grade students will leave the room to be supervised by staff beginning at 5:30 pm to allow a formal orientation for parents only.**

Monday, July 31 - First Day of School
(Students may arrive as early as 7:20, The school day begins at 7:50)
Please be sure to Send in a note that tells me how your child will go home.
*If your child rides a bus, please be sure to know what color or number bus they ride.
*If your child will attend ASP, please be sure to pay the funds before the first day of school.
*If your child is a car rider, be sure to purchase your car rider number.  This will help the car rider process go smoothly in the afternoon.

Please send your child with all of their school supplies on Monday, as we will be sorting these supplies on the first day.
