Hello Parent’s,
5th Grade students will be presenting their jazz
research through a display of legendary jazz artist in the TJC (Teasley Jazz
Café) this upcoming rotation. The whole school and parents are invited to
come by and see and hear 5th grade presentations. It’s sure to
be a cool time.
Requirements for participation are easy.
-Students should present themselves as the artist in a very
creative manner.
-Students can bring in instruments or make paper
instruments.
-Students should pull something out of their closet such as
a hat, glasses, long pants, fancy dress, hair accessories to create the look of
the artist. Please don’t buy anything from the store unless you want
to. Students who come to school in standard school attire will not be
allowed to present.
-Students need to memorize their script.
-Students only present on their assigned day. See

Testing Information
For testing please keep all cell phones and smart watches at home or on off inside your child's backpack.
We hope that all of our families had a great Spring Break!! We look forward to seeing our students on Monday!! A reminder that the GA Milestone Assessment begins for our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders on Tuesday, April 10th. Because we will have multiple testing sessions going in the building and will be testing the majority of the day, we ask that we not have visitors for lunch on Tuesday through Thursday, April 10 - 12 as well as Monday & Tuesday, April 16th & 17th. Our lunch and specials schedule is different on those days and we will have testing going on all around the building. For that reason, we ask that we not have visitors on those days. Thank you for your understanding!!
For our state testing, I want to make sure that all students receive the opportunity to have a healthy breakfast. For this reason, I would love for some parents to help donate a few items. Each day I will have a fun note for the kids related to the snacks. I will provide breakfast for the students on Tuesday April 10. We have 21 students, so we will need enough for each child to receive a snack each day. As always, I truly appreciate all of your help in making this year, the best one yet; 5th grade rocks!

In addition to this, if you have completed the daily notes for your child (found inside the testing information envelope I sent home the Friday before break) please be sure to send them in to school tomorrow so that I can pass them out to your child when they get to school each day.
Thank you again for everything that you do!
